St. Maximilian Kolbe House for Meetings and Reconciliation
St. Maximilian Kolbe House for Meetings and Reconciliation (DMK) was founded in 1992 by Franciscan Conventual Friars from Gdańsk Province.
Our house offers overnight stays and catering for 45 people, including a place for the conferences and seminars with multimedia. Our team has much experience in making international projects, we are always goal-oriented and command many language skills. We work together with many teachers, trainers and specialists, as for example journalists, politicians and men of culture. We also cooperate with academicians from many universities.
International Youth Exchange
DMK is closely cooperating with the Polish-German Youth Cooperation and acting as its transmitter to the Catholic organisations from Northern and Western Poland. Since 1992 we promote and organize the international youth exchange programs and promote the spirit of friendship and collaboration between the nations. DMK organizes international meetings, seminars and workshops to cope with the social and political problems in Central European countries. We want to encourage young people to take action in the social life. What is more we cooperate and between many organisations from Eastern and Western Europe.
Eastern Programs
Eastern Programs play one from the most important roles in our activity. We organize them to cope with the social and political problems characteristic for Eastern European countries. Within the Eastern Programs we organize educational and cultural projects and workshops to educate and strengthen contacts between people from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, and Moldova. We also offer a possibility of practical training and to transfer the knowledge. The program Study Tours to Poland (STP) is the most important part of the cooperation with students from Ukraine, Belarus and Kaliningrad. The goal of STP is to exchange the experience in such areas as political and social change, the idea of democracy and Polish defeats and success of democracy after economical-politics transformation. Till now we hosted more than 150 students. DMK work also together with trainees from the Eastern Europe.
